Apparel Studies Day 4

hm.. lunch with the workers. couldnt find the dress i really wanted to wear so this was the chosen frock instead. i think i finally found something to wear the belt with. or not... but i thought it went well!
it's blurry.. i dunno know why. oh and according to msn.ca, leggings are out! but i like mine so they will hang on for a bit longer
....and now off to work...

Apparel Studies - Day 3

i have decided that life is about the little things, not the big things. so even tho i am wearing basically the same thing as yesterday, i did change the important things ;)
exam time....
stress....
anxiety.....
nerves.....
cold sweats.
all before 8am.

Apparel Studies Day 2

monday, what can i say... i really tried today...
i have a nursing final tomorrow so i'm studying all day in lulu's.
stopped at starbucks on my way to school..
(yes mom, i got a $5 coffee but i'm studying! and out of coffee)

Apparel Studies Day 1

So there was this thing i saw. blog actually. this girl posts everyday what she wears. she wears nice clothes. she knows how to put an outfit together. and after looking at it i wondered how she did it. and by 'it' i mean got dressed so nicely every-single-day. I started thinking, what ever happened to, i slept in, don't feel like showering, haven't washed my hair in 3 days, out of contact solution, sweatpant days? Not gonna lie, I was not born with a sense of style, i do not know how to "dress for my body type," i don't know what to wear with stripes or prints, and if i do get it right... it's most likely a fluke... or black. In fact, when i lived with Molly, i remember her asking me, one sunday while i was making lunch, in an amused tone with an edge of disbelief, "what on EARTH are you WEARING?" I was wearing a grey tweed skirt, brown vest, maroon sweater, and black boots. It was clean, I had never worn the brown vest before, and to be honest, you couldn't see the brown vest because it was covered up. But this was a bad bad outfit. So, over the next 7 days, I am going to document my outfits... what i actually leave the house in. I'm not promising interesting or inspiring fashion. Might just be a sweat pants day....

I don't actually know how people pose looking over their shoulder. its really hard!

procrastination vs studying

This is where the magic happens. Ha.
More like, this is where I cram as much into my brain before Thursday at 8am, when I dump it out and proceed to forget all of it.
I cannot wait for that moment.

Procrastination today, in order, has consisted of..

1. Going for breakfast after my Stats exam with the girls from school
2. Watching Cougar Town, Ugly Betty, and Modern Family in bed (pathetic I know)
3. Going outside to study but sun tanning instead
4. Going to Safeway
5. Reading the magazine I bought at Safeway for a "study break"
6. Laughing with Tanya and Lisa over Tanya's bathroom antics
7. Writing an email to my landlord
8. Taking a picture of my desk and writing this ridiculous post.

but this is more interesting then the urinary system and the renin-angiotensin mechanism. which i still have to figure out, great.

ok I'm going. maybe i should make tea first........

Goodbyes

Why are goodbye's so hard.
Today my fabulous, funny, interesting, pretty, smart friend Alea left Calgary for Vancouver, then Korea, then England.
For a long long time.
I'm sad, but she is going to have an amazing experience and the next five years are going to be sweet-as.

New Years-Black and White

Happy 2010!

We had a smashing New Years party hosted by Lisa and sponsored by Nike since Tiger was booted. Actually, I don't know if he was really booted or not.

Anyhoo, (people who use anyhoo tend to annoy me so i thought i would try it out), anyhoo, yeah i like it. I made the party with 30 mins to spare to count down cuz my plane was delayed coming from Comox.
